Our daughter got married 10 days ago and the relatives were
visiting from Napier, Melbourne and Sydney. After touring
Auckland in our mimivan we ended up at Gina's and although we
booked early at 6pm, the plavce was soon pumping, the food was
delicious, we thought we'd share a bottle of wine and a beer or
two. Well, with great food and atmosphere a few bottles and
lots of Peronis later, we all had the best time. Voted the
best Tiramasu my Nephew had ever had, and the best pizza too, great
service, and loads of fun Thanks Gina's for making the wedding
weekend even more special. We are so pleased, as we wanted to
impress, so they'll come and visit more often!!!

We recently had a great family dinner at your restaurant with
our 4 teenagers. It was great fun and the girls particularly loved
it. One of the kids loved the wall clock you had near the kitchen.
It was white and quite large, and I thought I might get her
one. Would you please tell me what brand it is and any other

Hello! I love Gina's so much! I had booked a table for ten on
Tuesday to celebrate my twentieth with some friends from uni, but
on the night, seven more friends came. I was so stressed that I had
underbooked but the Gina's staff were so helpful and set up a
larger table for all of us! Dinner and dessert were STUNNING, just
as amazing and authentic as anything I'd had in Rome and Florence!
The birthday song and the kisses were so much fun, we were all
giggling like crazy haha. Everyone really enjoyed the night; the
delicious food, cheerful service, and the lively atmoshphere were
wonderful. Thank you so much, we will definetley be back!

My lovely daughter and son, Anna and James booked us all into
your fun, fabulous restaurant on Mother's day. I have been telling
all my friends about it ever since. We had an entertaining night,
loved the atmosphere, we all loved our meals, kids very happy with
their pizzas and my schnapper was amazing and a very generous
portion. I can't wait to come back! Thanks again, and to my
wonderful grown up children.

I hadn't been to Gina's for years, and it had moved about 20
metres down the road since my last visit to much bigger and better
premises. This trattoria-style Italian restaurant has an excellent
vibe and was full this evening. The wait staff were very relaxed
and exuded great enthusiasm.
Jane shared the "Antipasto di Mare Grilled seafood antipasto
platter with prawns, calamari, scallops & mussels" with a few
others. The calamari was nice and tender, the mussels were huge,
the scallops were nice and not overcooked, the prawns were a little
undercooked, but all in all it was a nice seafood antipasto.
I had the excellent "Papardelle al Ragu di Agnello with
slow-cooked lamb ragu, red wine, garlic & rosemary topped with
shaved pecorino cheese" and thoroughly enjoyed it.
For her main, Jane had the "Fish of the day" which was a fillet of
terikihi. She really enjoyed the accompanying mango salsa, found
the fish a little bland, and the veges and salad were both nice.
Well priced and a good relaxed evening out.

Hi there, My friend & I travelled to Auckland for a night
out together & had an amazing dinner at Gina's last Thursday
night. I chose a wine from your menu that is now my new favourite!
I don't often like wine as much as I do this one so was hoping you
can tell me what 'year' the wine was, as I am going to buy a case?

The best part about Gina's is the atmosphere. The exuberance and
zeal of the waiters never fails to entertain and the food is great.
Especially fun on your birthday as you are serenaded with 'Happy
Birthday' in Italian by the waiters. The food is excellent, always
hot and fresh and with plenty of flavour - I would especially
recommend the pizzas.

Went on Sat night for a Hen's night, we all had the $40 set
menu.Ginas seems to be the hot spot for hen's nights. Started with
a shared antipasto platter and garlic pizza bread. Bread was soft
and hot, nice selection of cured meats. I had the Pollo Pizzaiola,
which was panfried chicken breast, with tomatoes, olives and
mozzarella. Chicken was moist and cooked beautifully, however a bit
of salt and pepper would've done a world of difference. 3/4 thru my
meal I realized there was no Mozzarella, I didn't bother saying
anything at that point. Everyone else seemed pleased with their
meal. Desserts again was shared, we had tiramisu, panna cotta,
cheesecake and porfiteroles, everyone was very happy with dessert.
Mostly male waiters, all really friendly and very hospitable. For
the bride to be they took their shirts off and sang a song. I would
definitely recommend it for a hen's night or a girls night out,
would not recommend it for a romantic dinner for 2 over the
weekend. Everything is very loud, waiters yelling Kitchen yelling!!
We all had a good night out and will return for another hens
night.

Thank you Ginas, I attended the Long Lunch today to raise funds
for Christchurch and was amazed!
A friend sent me an email to say that Ginas was doing this event
and after checking their website I thought, 'ah well even if the
food is awful it won't matter as it's all going to a good
cause.'
What a pleasant surprise even arriving at our allocated time at
2.30pm ( I thought by now the place may be flagging) we were
greeted warmly and paid up front and bought a bottle of Italian
wine for a mere $15.00, the lunch itself was $35.00 per head.
The place was buzzing, the atmosphere was friendly and fun. There
were heaps of people dressed in red and black in support of
CHCH.
Long tables had people all around, those in big parties and lots
making new friends.
We were shown to our seats right by the window and watched people
go by astonished to see this place filled up and with us all
clearly enjoying ourselves. Nearby places weren't half as
busy.
The waiting staff we were informed were volunteering for the day
as were the musicians. Food and wines were supplied without charge
to the event and were thoroughly enjoyed.
We started with a large platter of olives, pesto, bread and other
nibbles, all good fun and generous quantities. Then a huge plate of
two pastas and one risotto (pumpkin) that I loved.
Then to a fillet steak sliced and served on a rocket salad..before
dessert. They had run out of Tiramisu so it was ice cream and there
were no regrets there as it was scrumptious.
Throughout this I kept thinking of CHCH and felt the guilt of
eating and enjoying myself whilst others were not and yet I hoped
too that the money raised would get there fast and do some real
good.
Thanks again Ginas. I shall certainly come again on a regular
night. Your staff were amazing and you have just become this
households fave Italian restaurant in Auckland.

Myself and 7 other ladies came in last night under the booking
name of "Stevie". We had the best time, we loved the food it was
delicious and the drinks were fantastic.
Your staff are AMAZING - we had such a fund night out, full of
laughs - definitely was a great end of year celebration.
We would also like to thank the waiter we had most of the night -
Pietro - he was so lovely and made our night so enjoyable and we
will be back again someime soon in the near future - myself will be
hopefully be coming back early January.

Auckland is such a lottery you can always count on Ginas to provide

This is a little late but I wanted to thank you all for a
fantastic night that we had on the 21st October for my daughter,
Sarah's, birthday. We brought along 10 eight year old girls with us
and you couldn't have done more to make our night special. All the
girls were 'fizzing' when we got home and many have told their
parents that it was "the best party they have been to'; largely
