Italian Weekend Brunches

Si Si Si Signori! We are now open for lunches on Saturday and Sunday. If you're looking for somewhere where you can enjoy a deliciously long weekend lunch you can stop at Gina's. With Autumn hot on our heels, Alessandro has already planned his wonderful heart-warming Tuscan specials with, duck, rabbit, venison and wild pork. We also have a fantastic new Pizza menu that includes Calzone & Dessert pizzas and all pizza's will be available in Regular and new Jumbo sizes. See you soon.

Gina's Wins at the Auckland Seafood Festival

Was held on Auckland Anniversary weekend 30 January to 1 February. What a load of fun that was, we had a ball! Good on all the punters who braved the rain and came down to this fabulous Auckland event. It was mecca for wine & seafood lovers and much more!
There was live entertainment, prizes galore, cooking demos and of course Gina's were on the scene offering the  winning seafood dish , Gnocchi with Scallops & Prawns in a creamy Tomato and Basil Sauce. We also won  best stall presentation, now we're not entirely sure if that was the stall presentation itself or the infectious atmosphere provided by our staff. It doesn't matter - it was fun!
Our suppliers also get a special mention here for making themselves available throughout the weekend for last minute orders:  Pasta Madero, Moana Pacific, San Vittoria, European Foods and Peters Packaging - Thanks for helping to make this event a great one!

New Face, Same Place

You may have noticed some changes recently, we are currently redecorating. Its a work in progress which we hope to complete by May.
I'd like to say on behalf of Alessandro and I a HUGE thanks to our staff whose xmas present to us was a major working bee. Over the xmas break they ripped out, plastered, sanded and painted the walls of the dining rooms. They also completed the kitchen recently. They donated their time & energy towards this project. What a marvellous job and generous gift, thank you boys! Joyce xx
Of course the job is far from finished. The hard stuff's been left in the good hands of Matt Munford and his crew from 2Contruct Ltd. Thanks Matt!

Celebrating a Special Occasion

We celebrate many birthdays, anniversaries, hens nights & graduations. We love to celebrate with you by singing (very loudly) the Italian 'tante auguri' song (which means 'congratulations'). We generally make a huge fuss and our customers adore it! If you are organising a special dinner party at Ginas for your (or a loved one's) celebration, here are a few pointers to help us make it special for you:

• Tell us at the time you book so we can schedule it in for the night.
• Ensure that your table orders dessert AND you tell us WHO the person we are celebrating is.
• Depending on how many celebrations there are for the night we may have to break out in song during your mains - so be warned. WHY? So there is minimum interruption to kitchen & service AND also because by the time our song has been sung 3 or 4 times in a night - it loses its "special-ness" ... and we can't have that!
